Professor Juan Herrero has given a conference in the seminar happening in Bari on 26 and 27 June 2025 titled "La mediazione del Mediterraneo in Puglia".

The conference had two differentiated parts. During the first, the main coordinates of the new Spanish system were exposed, which is characterised by the obligatory nature of trying a negotiated solution through some of the proper means stablished by law. A summary through the problems and inconsistencies of it application field was used to highlight the need to train neutral third parties involved.

Thus, the second part of the conference focused on determining who guarantees that training and how it is done as well as in the consequences that must be tied to a negotiating procedure in which it can be appreciated that it was carried out in front of those who lack the necessary training.
