A research work by Professors Carlos Vidal Meliá and Manuel Ventura Marco awarded at the 1st Edition of the Longevia Awards of the BBVA Institute of Pensions

The past Friday 7th February, the BBVA Institute of Pensions made public the decision of the first edition of the Longevia Awards, which are aimed at encouraging research in the area of the pension system and longevity. A total of three prizes and three second prizes in three categories were awarded: Law, Economy and Sociology, of a total of 27 works presented.

Professors Carlos Vidal Meliá and Manuel Ventura Marco of the UV Department of Financial and Actuarial Economics, along with the Professor Anne M. Garvey of the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Alcalá have been awarded the second prize in the category of Economics for their research work entitled:

‘An income statement proposal for an NDC scheme with disability using specific longevity values and minimum pension benefits'.

The award-giving ceremony of the Longevia Awards will take place the 6th March. The six winning works will be included in the commemorative book of the first edition of the awards, as well as in the Documental Base section of the Pensions in Figures section of the BBVA Institute of Pensions website.
