What waste is deposited in the blue container?

Management system at the University

For the quantities of paper that are normally generated, there are blue paper bins distributed throughout the University.

The cleaning service empties these bins into the blue paper containers in every building. Periodically, a paper handler takes the paper from the containers.

These containers can be used to store paper and also folded cardboard of small dimensions. In the case of large cartons, they shall be placed folded next to the containers.

Do you need wastepaper bins?

We send them to you by internal mail. To receive them, send us an email to residus@uv.es indicating the place of delivery and the contact person.

You can deposit it directly into the blue two-wheeled containers in your building. If you can't find them, ask the cleaning staff.

Remember to fold the large cardboard boxes and place them next to the container.

For special collection needs in case of transfers, the company can supply cages of larger dimensions than those of the containers. In this case you send your request in a joint email to these two recipients: rvilasl@hotmail.com ; residus@uv.es  with the following information:

• Volume of paper to be collected or number of cages
• Spaces you have to deposit the cages. There are two types, of dimensions 1,20 x 1,00 x 1,70 m and 0,80 x 0,70 x 1,70 m.
• Delivery address
• Contact person - Contact person
• Full phone number to call from outside the University

The company will accumulate applications on a weekly basis until Wednesday at 2 p.m., and will deliver and collect the cages on Thursday. The length of time the cages remain in your spaces depends on your needs, but as a guideline they are usually between 2 and 4 weeks. In case of emergency you can call 96 153 1153, but you must also send us the request email. This service is provided free of charge, and its cost is borne centrally by the Environment area.
