The Degree in Physiotherapy aims at training professionals in physiotherapy with the scientific skills and ability to describe, identify, consult and compare health problems related to the area of physiotherapy. Considering individuals in a threefold way (biologically, psychologically and socially), students learn a set of procedures, techniques and measures used to help people cure, recover and adapt after being affected by deteriorations, functional limitations or disabilities produced as a result of an injury, illness or other causes.
Graduates in Physiotherapy must be able to assess the patient's functional status, determine the physiotherapy diagnosis, design the physiotherapy intervention plan and provide effective physiotherapy care. Physiotherapists can intervene in the areas of health promotion, prevention, protection and recovery, when cooperating in multidisciplinary teams.
