On 13 December, the DAM Chair for Integral Management and Resource Recover of Wastewater of the Universitat de València will host the 4th Scientific-Technical Conference on the advantage of wastewater as a resource. The conference will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Universitat Empresa-ADEIT Foundation. The event is free of charge and is led by public organistions, professionals in the water treatment sector, university researchers and students who deal with wastewater treatment and the resource recover of wastewater.

Taking advantage of treated wastewater is a fundamental pillar to promoting a more realistic and rational use of water. However, it is important to view wastewater not only as a source of water, but also as a source for all resources like energy, nutrients and other products of value. This approach is in line with the Circular Economy approach, which promotes a more sustainable use of natural resources.

This conference will include the participation of experts in innovative technologies for wastewater treatment and for the energetic advantage of wastewater. These experts belong to companies and research centres like LEITAT, the Universidad de Girona, Universitat Politecnic de València, the Universidad de Granada, CSIC and the Universidad Autònoma de Madrid.
