During the month of June, the course organised jointly by the Chair for the Culture of Mediation and by the Lifelong Learning and Educational Innovation Service of the UV was held.
On 6th, 9th, 13th and 16th June a module on mediation and conflict management was held at the UV for administrative and service staff of the Universitat de València.
The course was taught by Ángel Martínez, Pilar González and Gemma Pons. With a theoretical-practical approach, this seminar aims to familiarise University staff with the psychosocial variables involved in the process of conflict, negotiation and mediation. Its main objective is to train workers not only to be able to identify the process of conflict and its resolution in the workplace, but also to learn techniques for improving self-management of highly emotional situations. Besides, this course will also provide the assistants with basic mediation techniques and tools for the management of daily conflicts.
