On 17 October, the Chair for Comic Studies SM Foundation-UV was present at the La Nau Cultural Centre to present Émile Bravo's comic book La esperanza pese a todo, in which the author himself gave a talk on his work.
French author Émile Bravo signed with El diario de un ingenuo (The diary of an ingenuous person) a brilliant rewriting of the origins of one of the icons of Franco-Belgian comics, Spirou. Now, Dibbuks is publishing the sequel to that renowned album to delve into the historical period of the Nazi occupation of Belgium, which Bravo uses to make a profound and lucid reflection on society in extreme situations and, at the same time, to pay tribute to the whole of Franco-Belgian comic, from Tintin to Spirou.
In this talk, organised by the Comic Society of the Universitat de València, Émile Bravo himself spoke not only about his work in Spirou, but also about his ideas on comics and creation.
