Next July, the first International Seminar of Educators will be held in Honduras, in the Tri-national Border Federation of Río Lempa. The seminar is organised by the universities Francisco Morazán National Pedagogical University of Honduras, University of El Salvador and University of San Carlos of Guatemala and will be supported by the Faculty of Teacher Training and the Chair for Cooperation and Sustainable Development of the Universitat de València. The organisation was made possible thanks to the support granted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Internationalisation and Cooperation.
More than 60 teachers from this rural area with a multitude of scattered unitary schools are expected to participate in the seminar. Thus, teachers will be able to enjoy a meeting place where they can share experiences that help to improve the quality of education in a complex environment. In addition, the seminar will serve as a meeting point for the development of a postgraduate diploma to complement the training of teachers in the area.
