The Philosophy and Citizenship Chair Josep Lluís Blasco Estellés is an initiative from the Philosophy Society of the Valencian Community (Sociedad de Filosofía del País Valenciano), from the Metaphysics and Knowledge Theory Departament (Departamento de
Metafísica y Teoría del Conocimiento), from the Section of Philosophy of the Philosophy and Educational Sciences School (Sección de Filosofía de la
Facultad de Filosofía y Ciencias de la Educación) and the Faculty itself. The aim of the Chair is to build a forum in which the two maximum vocations of Josep Lluís Blasco, the philosophic and the civic and citizen ones, find a confluent space. The main aim is to approach the philosophy to the citizens, submitting the more immediate social problems by the reflections made by the philosophers and the thinkers and make it arrive to the society.
