The intellectual and civic career of Professor Josep Lluís Blasco Estellés is well known within our University and Valencian society. His philosophical work and his participation in university and civic matters make him a unique personality, someone who excelled in their field.

Josep Lluís Blasco Estellés Chair for Philosophy and Citizenship  has as purpose to form a forum in which the two highest vocations of Josep Lluís Blasco, the philosophical vocation and civic one, find a common space. The Chair was created in March 2005 with the mission to act as a forum in which the top two vocations of Josep Lluís Blasco, the philosophical and civic vocations, could find a space of confluence.

Annually there are: Conferences, roundtables, monographic courses on “public philosophy” and publications derived from conferences or courses.
