The complementary training applicants with the profiles described in paragraphs 3.1 and 3.2 may require will be provided by some subjects of the Master's Degree in Specific Didactics by the University of Valencia.
Applicants to the doctoral program that, once admitted, need to complete their research training in the chosen specific didactics, must take and pass a maximum of 20 ECTS credits of this master’s degree. The main student profiles of this type (summarized in sections 3.1 and 3.2 as “other income profiles”) are:
- Applicants with sufficient knowledge of the specific educational choice but with a total lack of research training. These applicants must take and pass the subject ‘Methods of educational research’ (6 credits) and the relevant subject to the specific didactic specialty choice (14 credits).
- Applicants with sufficient knowledge of the specific educational choice and educational research methodology but with a total lack of research training. These applicants must take and pass the relevant subject to the specific didactic specialty choice (14 credits).
- Applicants with sufficient knowledge of the specific educational choice and educational research methodology but with a total lack of research training. These applicants must take and pass the subject ‘Methods of educational research’ (6 credits).
Applicants pre-registered in the doctoral programme with complete lack of training in specific educational choice and research in that specific didactics will not be admitted to the doctoral programme and they will be advised that take the Master's Degree in Specific Didactics complete for carrying out a pre-registration to the doctoral programme again.
