FAQ's

1. What are the objectives of Master’s degree studies?

It is intended that students acquire advanced training, specialized or multidisciplinary, aimed at an academic or professional specialization or also promoting the introduction to research tasks.

3. Do all students of a Postgraduate programme need to study the same number of credits to obtain a Master’s degree?

No. The body responsible for the development of the Postgraduate Programme will establish the number of credits each student must pass according to their previous training and within the programme offer, to obtain the Master’s degree. Under no circumstances shall be less than 60 ECTS.

4. In case of having studied abroad, what requirements are necessary to study a Master’s degree in Spain?

To entry the master’s degree it is necessary to hold an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that allow the entry to master’s degree studies in the country of issuance.

If studies have been completed in one of the Member States of the European Union or in other states with which it has signed an international agreement, the student must obtain a credential with the equivalence of qualifications issued by the UNED.

Official approval or recognition of study in that country, upon application to the competent ministry if the student comes from a non-EU country or with which there is no agreement, will be required.

Likewise, graduate students from educational systems outside the EHEA can access to it without needing the accreditation of their qualification, after verification by the University of Valencia that certifies an equivalent level of training to the official Spanish qualification and which confers in the issuance country of the degree the access to postgraduate studies.

This admission does not imply, in any case, the official approval of previous degrees passed by the applicant, or its recognition for other purposes different to the access to Master’s Degree Studies.
