Universitat de València plays for the first time in European Universities Games

Universitat de València´s karate and rugby teams have participated, for the first time, in the The 3rd edition of the European Universities Games 2016 As to the women´s karate team, it has won a bronze medal. The event is taking place in Croatian cities of Zagreb and Rijeka where more than five thousand students from 45 different counties and 300 universities have gathered. This makes it one of the most popular sporting events among university sportspeople.

Según la última edición del QS World University Rankings por materias, elaborado por la consultora Quacquarelli Symonds, la Universitat se posiciona entre las mejores universidades del mundo en 11 disciplinas de las 39 evaluadas: filosofía, agricultura y ciencias forestales, medicina, psicología, química, matemáticas, física y astronomía, educación, economía y econometría, y estadística e investigación operativa.
