From the University of Valencia we offer students with a scientific-technological base and future vision, an university degree of second cycle that provides them with a regulated training in a discipline that up until now wasn't: remote sensing.

Thirty years of research activity in remote sensing applications, six research units working in matters related to this subject and a wide doctor team that has dedicated their teaching capacity to the training of remote sensing students. This is the basis of our training offer.

For a society that requires global resource management tools, the answer is the use of remote sensing to obtain information about our environment, which will allow us a greater and better understanding of the same.

Whichever the base university training of the student that is admitted to the Master's Degree, the competences that they acquires will serve to improve their professional developments. As there is a demand for experts that know the treatments that should be applied to digital information, which is constantly provided to us by the sensors installed on satellites that are launched to space, to extract reliable and useful information from them. And this is a field of the professional exercise with continuity in time.

This is the moment to acquire new knowledge for a professional future with new competences that are provided by the degree of first cycle of added value.

We are decided to make this training effort for our students and to give them the possibility of setting up in the more advanced professional environments.

The Master's Degree in Remote Sensing of the University of Valencia is an official degree and as such, has passed the evaluations of the Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación (ANECA), and has been approved by the Council of Ministers (in 4 June 2010), published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Spain (BOE 28/06/2010) and inscribed in the Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos (RUCT) with the degree code nº 4310458.

As an official degree it has validity in the entire national territory, and is authorised for the European Community and recognised in the countries with which our country has degree recognition agreements. It allows the access to the doctorate that cannot be carried out without an official degree, the recognition of specific professional competences, tuition fees that are regulated by the administration in charge, allow the access to tenders and public examinations, etc.
