In the new context of the European Higher Education Area, the School of Engineering of the Universitat de València already teaches the Degree in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications and the Degree in Telematics Engineering, both of them are professional degrees of Technical Telecommunications Engineering, as well as several master’s degrees that incorporate different aspects of Communications, like “Advanced Sciences of Modern Telecommunications”, Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and Master’s Degree in Systems and Services in the Information Society, among others.

Among the abovementioned master’s degrees, the master’s degree with which it shares more characteristics is the Master’s degree “Advanced Sciences of Modern Telecommunications”. However, unlike it, this master’s degree has as main objective to make it possible for graduates in Engineering with professional attributions of Technical Telecommunications Engineer to enlarge their competences and get a Master’s degree that gives them the professional attributions of Telecommunications Engineer.

The Universitat de València has been teaching this title of Telecommunications Engineering in Telematics since the academic year 2002-2003.
