Prometeo 2021/21, titled “Advances in the field of omics to improve the
accuracy and translation to precision health”
Next December 9th in the Hall of Degrees of the Faculty of
Medicine and Dentistry will take place at the VI Conference organized by the group
Prometeo 2021/21, titled “Advances in the field of omics to improve the
accuracy and translation to precision health”, which will feature speakers
both international, among whom is Dr. José María Ordovás,
Senior scientist at the USDA-Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging
Tufts University, and Dr. Juan F. Alzate, director of the National Center for
Genomic Sequencing of Colombia from the University of Antioquia, as with
national speakers, such as Dr. Francisco Sánchez Muñiz, Professor of Nutrition and
Bromatology/emeritus professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, Dr.
Oscar Coltell professor at the Jaume I University of Castelló and coordinator
of the BioInfoGenomics group (BIG) focused on research in the field of
Computational Biomedicine and Bioinformatics, Dr. José Luis García, professor
from the Physiology area of the University of Valencia and researcher
postdoctoral fellow CIBERER ISCIII and emerging researcher INCLIVA founder of EpiDisease S.L.
the first Spin-Off of the CIBER and the ISCIII, among other researchers with great
prestige in the study of various omics sciences and their relationship with
various metabolic and physiological processes, and their possible translation for the
prevention and treatment of diseases.

These sessions are organized by Dr. Dolores Corella, Dr. Olga Portolés, Dr. José Vicente Sorlí, Dr. Rebeca Fernández and Dr. Carolina Ortega of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health of the University of Valencia, and by the Dr. Oscar Coltell from the Department of Computer Languages and Systems of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón.
