MSCA PF 2025

Would you like to host a postdoc of any nationality funded by the European Commission in your UV research group? Are you a postdoc who would like to apply for one of these grants? Contact us! sti.internacional@uv.es

The European framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe (2021-2027), includes, within the Excellent Science Pillar, a series of research staff training and mobility initiatives known as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCAs). These include postdoctoral fellowships, aimed at postdoctoral researchers in any field of research to develop their project at a host institution in a country other than the one where they reside or carry out their main activity.

The European Commission funds the expenses associated with the researcher's mobility and maintenance, among others, plus a contribution associated with their management, training, and networking. An amount is also allocated for management and indirect costs for the host institution, related to the additional expenses of the project.

The MSCA PF profile is that of a postdoctoral researcher with a maximum of 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience, counted from the date of obtaining the PhD until the deadline for submitting the application (this period may be extended under certain circumstances; see the Work Programme 2023-2025). The applicant must comply with the mobility rule, i.e., the postdoctoral researcher must not have resided or carried out their main activity within the host country for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the deadline.

There are two options:

  • European Postdoc Fellowships. Mobility within Europe. Duration: 12 to 24 months.
  • Global Postdoc Fellowships. Part of the project is carried out in a third country (12-24 months) with a return phase (12 months).

The application is submitted by the host institution (in our case, the Universitat de València, with a supervisor), together with the postdoc researcher who wishes to work within a UV laboratory, department, or research group.

Universities and research organizations are publishing their Marie Sklodowska-Curie postdoc hosting offers on the Euraxess portal. If you are interested, please send your expression of interest form to sti.internacional@uv.es, and we will publish your offer on Euraxess and on our UV webpage. Likewise, if you have an identified candidate, please contact the International R&D and Innovation Section to prepare your proposal to the European Commission. Additionally, we have the MSCA portal available with supervisor and applicant profiles.

The 2025 call opened on May 8th and has a deadline of September 10th, 2025, at 5:00 PM CEST. To submit a successful proposal, you must be familiar with the following documentation:

The FECYT Spanish European Office will hold an online information session on practical aspects of the call for proposals on June 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
