
Teacher Isabel Balaguer Solá has been awarded the Prize for the Transfer of Social Psychology to Society, awarded by SCEPS and the General Council of Psychology.
Dr. Isabel Balaguer, teacher emeritus of the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Valencia, has been awarded the Prize for the Transfer of Social Psychology to Society. The award recognizes Isabel Balaguer's extensive career dedicated to transferring her research, mainly in the field of Social Psychology of Sport, to society as a whole, through different initiatives that apply the knowledge of Social Psychology to professional practice.
The award is awarded jointly by the Spanish Scientific Society of Social Psychology (SCEPS) and the General Council of Psychology of Spain (CG-COP) to those members of both associations who have stood out throughout their career in the application of the results of research in Social Psychology to the professional field and in the transfer of results to society as a whole.
This award is the second edition of the same. Isabel Balaguer received the award during the Gala Dinner of the VI International Congress of the SCEPS held between 3 and 5 October in Santiago de Compostela. Dr Esther López Zafra, president of the SCEPS, and Ms Rosa Álvarez, Dean of the Official College of Psychology of Galicia, presented the award, in the presence of 250 members of the SCEPS.
