I am fascinated by the intersection of psychology and economics: how our emotions and the decisions we make ultimately define the success or failure of any personal or professional project. My analysis ranges from organizational culture and teamwork to consumer psychology, always seeking a balance that enhances both organizational performance and people well-being. I am convinced that the best ideas always emerge from a good conversation. |

Biography | |||
|
I obtained my PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Valencia in 2003. My doctoral thesis examined prejudice against the Roma population within the framework of Social Representations Theory, using an experimental social psychology methodology. Its main contribution was the theory of ontologization, which shows how the Roma minority is placed “outside the human map” when the majority group’s identity feels threatened by direct comparison with the animal. From 2009 to 2025, I worked as an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Valencia, where in 2025 I obtained a position as Assistant Professor (Ayudante Doctora). In 2022, I received accreditation as a Tenure-Track Lecturer (Profesora Contratada Doctora) from ANECA, and in 2023 I was awarded a research evaluation (sexenio). Between 2020 and 2024, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Pattern Recognition and Human Language Research Center of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and from 2024 to 2025 at Symanto, an Artificial Intelligence company. This experience represented a turning point in my career, allowing me to build an interdisciplinary bridge between social psychology and computational linguistics. Since then, I have developed a research line using Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools to study what the different social actors say, and how they say it. My research interest focuses on the study of prejudice and symbolic constructions that undermine dialogue in intergroup conflict situations. I am concerned with advancing the understanding of the psychosocial processes that undermine coexistence in plural societies and sustain discrimination against the most vulnerable groups. |
