The teaching needs of the faculties of Education and Social Sciences are not covered by the classrooms that currently exist in the Western Lecture Building. Changes in the teaching model or in the map of university degrees motivate the need for classrooms that offer flexibility, with dimensions and capacities different from the current ones. For this reason, a new lecture building is being built on the Naranjos campus. The building, aligned with the north and south facades of the Western Lecture Building and following it, will have five floors above ground level and one below ground level. The functional program basically houses classrooms of different sizes and flexible configuration to respond to the needs of the Faculties of Education and Social Sciences mainly. The works have started and are expected to be completed in March 2026.

The works began on November 22, 2024, will last 20 months and have a budget of €25,568,638.14.
