Description
Neutrinos are the most abundant elementary particles in the universe. They have very interesting properties, yet they are still largely unknown. The neutrino is usually labelled as elusive, evasive, even ghostly, because of the difficulty of observing it experimentally. And yet, despite all this, it is the only particle that has successfully challenged the almighty Standard Model, the "Bible" of particle physics, making clear the need for new theories capable of explaining its behaviour. Neutrinos are produced in different scenarios throughout our universe, and reach us acting as messengers from the cosmos. In this talk we will try to get to know them a little better.
