The Department covers a wide range of subjects in the field of Theoretical Physics. In the Standard Model, our Department, in conjunction with IFIC and the Department of Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear is one of the most important in Europe. Within this area of ​​expertise are: Phenomenology of Electro-weak  and strong interactions, Physical "flavor", Hadronic and Nuclear Physics, construction of new models with ramifications in aspects of Quantum Gravity,  Astroparticle and Cosmology. We investigate both the formal aspects of the theory and phenomenology of fundamental interactions of nature throughout the range of energies in the present experiments (and future).
