Graduated students of the degree in Environmental Sciences at the Universitat de València have a wide range of career opportunities across several specialised fields. They can perform roles in environmental management in private companies, such as environmental managers or project coordinators, as well as in public administration, working as environmental technicians or territorial programme managers. Fields such as environmental consulting and auditing —including the implementation of management systems (ISO 14001, EMAS)—, environmental impact assessment, and land-use planning and management are also prominent. In addition, there are more technical and scientific areas, such as the management of nature resources (water, soils, and biodiversity), the restoration of ecosystems, the environmental risk analysis, and the modelling of environmental processes. Additionally, there are opportunities related to education and environmental communication, scientific research and solution development in eco-innovation and sustainability. This diversity reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the degree and its relevance in key sectors addressing the current environmental challenges.
