Studying the degree in Environmental Sciences at the Universitat de València offers a multidisciplinary training that integrates scientific, technical and social knowledge to understand the natural environment in all its complexity. Within this approach, geology provides a key foundation for interpreting the dynamics of landforms, soils, and groundwater. It is integrated with biological disciplines such as ecology, conservation biology, and environmental microbiology, as well as with social and technical fields that analyse interactions with human activity, allowing environmental issues to be addressed from a truly global perspective. This vision facilitates an understanding of how challenges like pollution, land degradation, or climate change arise and evolve, while also providing tools to prevent and manage them sustainably. Moreover, this degree enables students to apply technological solutions and to participate in land-use planning and management, incorporating environmental, social and economic criteria into decision-making.
