The ComDigCV 2024 Congress, dedicated to innovation in the long-form journalism, will be held on 7 and 8 October on the Graduate Hall from the UV Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication. This event, organised by Dafne Calvo and Guillermo López García, both journalism professors at the UV, will have the collaboration of the CAPA Chair and the PAGODA Chair, two entities committed with the research and encouragement of quality journalism.
The congress is presented as a space to reflect about slow journalism, a trend that wants to counter the immediacy and overload of information, betting for a detailed and profound analysis of socially relevant topics. Through panel discussions, workshops and conversations, the event will gather experts from the academic and professional fields who will debate about the opportunities and challenges of the long-form journalism.
Among the topics to be discussed, the search for a ‘clean time’ in journalism, the influence of AI in the journalism practice and the right to digital disconnection are to be highlighted. The programme also includes a writing workshop for long format and a shared read led by the writer Anna Pacheco.
