Within the framework of the project “Multi-religious alliance to address social challenges from the 2030 Agenda” (ALUZAR), financed by the Pluralism and Coexistence Foundation, on Friday, December 15, 2023, a conversatory will take place with older representatives of different religious entities based in the Valencian Community to reflect on their commitment to current social challenges and building the future.
Older people from different traditions - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Indian religions, Baha'ism - will discuss the need to promote inclusive and sustainable development supported by religious and ethical values and committed especially to those groups estimated to be circumstantially vulnerable, marginalized and outside the agendas.
ALUZAR aims to encourage reflection and joint work among religious entities, stimulating the exchange of experiences, so that both participants and the public acquire a greater understanding of reality and explore opportunities for joint work. Furthermore, the project aspires to reach concrete commitments to promote real development in a sustainable manner by creating alliances with educational, social, cultural entities and public administrations.
This conversatory will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Valencia (Avda. Blasco Ibáñez, 30. 46010 Valencia).
