This year, our Institute is taking part in the outreach activity “European Researchers’ Night”, which will take place next Friday, September 25, 2026, simultaneously in more than 400 cities across Europe.
In our case, the aim is to bring some of the research carried out at the Institute closer to the local community. To this end, several of our PhD students will run a workshop called “BIOTECMED Fluorescent”, where they will show children how DNA looks under ultraviolet light. They will also present a transgenic C. elegans model that expresses green fluorescent protein under the control of a neuronal promoter.
