To this end, the City Council is working with staff from the University of Valencia who conduct research and teach in the fields of artificial intelligence, data visualisation, web technologies and 2D/3D graphics.
The aim of the chair is to promote the use of artificial intelligence techniques, data visualisation and web technologies applied to relations between citizens and the local authority, transparency and the use of open data.
This objective ties in with the university’s aims by ensuring improved fulfilment of its teaching, research and technological and cultural dissemination objectives, strengthening its links with the socio-economic environment, and expanding the range of activities on offer for students and staff.
This chair has been established following a previous collaboration between the two organisations, in which gamification was applied as a tool for open government through the Chair in Gamification and Open Government.
