This opinion section does not refer to the genre of a newspaper editorial nor to the typical journalistic columns of other media outlets that reinforce their editorial line.
The opinion section of UV Noticias aims to offer the university community a space for reflection to analyse our most immediate reality from a social, political and economic perspective.
The author of the article will be solely responsible for the opinions expressed.
The length of the opinion article must be between 600 and 1000 words.
Articles must be sent to the Marketing and Communication Service of the UV so that, once reviewed and validated, they can be published according to the planned schedule.
The following articles may be rejected, explicitly or implicitly:
- Those that violate human rights, or that harm the rights to privacy, honour, one’s own image, or human dignity.
- Those that disseminate content contrary to the principles set out in the Statutes of the Universitat de València.
- Those that disseminate statements or references that are false, incorrect, or inaccurate about the Universitat de València, its centres, departments and services, as well as the activities it carries out.

During pre-electoral and electoral periods, the Electoral Commission of the Universitat de València may moderate and assess this section in order to promote a balanced presence of the different candidacies.
The Marketing and Communication Service may request from the authors of submitted articles any grammatical or stylistic corrections it deems necessary in order to ensure the quality of this section.
Submitted and validated articles must comply with the editorial schedule established by the Marketing and Communication Service.
Accepted articles may be translated into the three language versions available in UVNoticias.
Each opinion article includes, at the end of the text, a space where members of the university community, after identification, may post comments related to the article.
Submission of articles

The file format must be: doc, rtf or txt.
The article must be sent from a UV email account and must include the following author details:
- Full name
- Contact email address (the same one from which the article is sent)
- Phone number(s)
- Affiliation with the Universitat de València:
- PDI: centre, department, institute, position or representation, type of contract.
- PTGAS: centre, department, institute, service, position or representation, type of contract.
- Student: degree programme in which they are enrolled, position or representation.
Any submitted article implies acceptance, by the author, of all the conditions stated above.
