UV remains as one of the most involved universities in this initiative promoted by the National Plan against Antibiotic Resistance (PRAN).

The race took place simultaneously all over Spain and surpassed 4000 inscriptions in the state thanks to the collaboration of several universities. UV Sports Service has coordinated local organisation to promote participation among students and university personnel in an event combining physical activity, dissemination and social commitment.

The UV commitment with health and the One Health approach

The competition offered different categories —absolute, veteran, university, family, dog category One Health. All open for walkers and experienced runners. The diversity gave the university community the opportunity to participate  in an inclusive activity aligned with the health promoting principles of Universitat de València.

This initiative is part of the activities of WAAW 2025, celebrated between 18 and 24 November under the motto 'Let's take action now: protect our present, ensure our future'. WAAW aims to raise awareness on antibiotic resistance and to promote responsible use in humans and animals, strengthening the UV commitment with awareness and education of responsible health habits.

UV reaffirms once again its commitment with health promotion, education of healthy habit and student implication in social interest causes. The 'Run without resistances!' race offers not only a chance for physical activity but a contribution of cautious antibiotic use and One Health approach, combining human, animal and environmental health care.
