The Oporto University held the 24th ENAS Forum from 6 to 11 November. This is an international conference that receives nearly 200 members of higher educational institution sports services from all Europe. In the framework of this conference, Ana Mª Gómez, director of UVsports has been elected Spanish representative of the ENAS, taking over from Miguel Ángel Torregosa, technician of the Sports Services of the Universitat de València. 

Ana Mª Gómez claimed that “continuing the work started by the group of Spanish universities in ENAS is a great opportunity for the Universitat de València”, and showed her intention of “using the organisation of the National Conference on University Sport, that this year is held in Valencia, so as to encourage the participation in the Net to other Spanish universities”.

The director of the Sports Service took part in the 24th ENAS Forum, together with the UV Sports Service technicians, Miguel Ángel Torregosa and Carlos Navarro. This event, whose main theme is ‘Comunication in university and university sport’, intends to be a dialogue forum and a place for sharing knowledge and strategies on sport management used by the different European universities.

“The ENAS Forum is an opportunity for sharing practices and innovative ideas with nearby Universities”, Ana Mª Gómez says. “Our objective is absorbing all the possible information for improving promotion and dedication, as well as making our contribution in this forum supporting the development of good sport practices and physical activity in the university atmosphere for the European Community”, explained the director.
