Andrea Medina, best mark in the Biologist Resident Intern exam

Andrea Medina Piña, graduated in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at the Universitat de València, has obtained the best mark in all of Spain for the Biólogo Interno Residente (Biologist Resident Intern, BIR), the equivalent for this discipline of the MIR for Medicine. The Universitat de València has placed students among the 10 best marks also in Chemistry, Pharmacy and Physics. Andrea Medina.
In the BIR exam, the success of the UV has continued with the sixth best mark, obtained by Ana García.
Andrea Medina, from Gandia, belongs to the promotion 2018-2022. When she found out about the BIR she prepared herself for a year and a half, to end up getting the best mark in Spain. A total of 868 people took the exam.
In the Chemistry exam, the UV has placed Alejandro Simón García (7th) and Javier Esparcia Estrella (9th). The 8th place in Pharmacy went to José Miguel Campos Barrachina. In Physics, the Universitat has been placed 4th, 5th and 6th. Lastly, the 6th place in Nursing.
92% of the people who took the exams to access Specialised Health Training, organised by the Ministry of Health and held on 20 January, have passed the cut-off mark for the exams. There are 23,437 people who will opt for one of the 11,607 places available.
In total, 25,504 people applied for a total of 11,607 training places. A total of 30,072 candidates were admitted to take this exam in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and degrees in the fields of Psychology, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
