The Plogging Tour, supported by the National Sports Council (CSD), reaches its fourth edition in Spain. To the date, it has counted with the participation of more than 23.500 people and companies, who have taken more than 59.000 kilos of trash from nature.

This year, Valencia will once again take this initiative that promotes environmental awareness and a healthy lifestyle. The date will be on Saturday, 5 October at 9:00 a.m. in the Turia Park, next to the 9 de octubre bridge, where attendants will receive a kit that includes an eco-drum, gloves, a bracelet, and a bag. After the official beginning, participants will be able to choose among three routes: 2,5, 6,5 o 11 kilometres, adapted to different ages and levels of physical condition. Furthermore, the event will offer a complete programme of activities in the Plogging Campus, that will include sport exhibitions, workshops, masterful classes, and children games.

This event, following the values in Valencia as the European Green Capital, reinforces the compromise of the city with sustainability and the promotion of a more ecologic and resilient future. The initiative wants to connect companies, organisations and citizens together around sustainability, sport and health. Furthermore, it tackles problems such as sedentary lifestyle, environmental contamination, promoting at the same time ecological transport alternatives. The Plogging Tour counts with the support of the Universitat de València and the Fundación Deportiva Municipal, among others. 

Registration can be done from the Plogging Tour website, with a cost of 5€ for adults and 1€ for children. All collected funds will go to solidary causes.
