The Board of Trustees of the Universitat de València has opened the call for the presentation of candidacies for the 22th University-Society Prizes. The prizes recognise the best practical cooperation between the university and the business sector. The candidacies to the different categories can be presented in the Registry Office of the Universitat de València, addressed to the Board of Trustees until the 16 June.

In this new edition, the Board of Trustees will give the prizes in the four common categories: Prize for a collaborative career University-Society, addressed to recognise those entities that have developed cooperation programmes with the Universitat de València (in a field different from R+D); Alumni Plus Prize, divided in two modalities: one that emphasises the academic excellence of five UV students; and the other for the professional, academic and business excellence of former UV students with a professional career that demonstrate an exemplary contribution to the society; Prize for the teaching excellence, in recognition to the professionalism of the teaching staff related to this institution; and Prize for the research and development that values the cooperation activities and projects focused on R+D among UV groups and institutions.

Regarding the other editions, this year the University-Society Awards includes for the first time in its call the Prize for the Institutional or Business Chairs of the Universitat de València. This new award, whose candidacies will be proposed by the jury, is created in order to recognise one of these UV Chairs as a support tool in the research-technological field.
