The debate series of “La Nau of Equality” takes stock, this Tuesday, of the feminist strike

How can we channel the power of 8M? What kind of valuation should we do of the feminist strike? Has the feminist movement made a qualitative leap? Have we lived a historic mobilization? Some of these questions will be answered in the debate ‘8M and now what?’ which takes places on Tuesday 17 April at 18:30 in the Cultural Centre La Nau of the Universitat de València.

The debate is incorporated into the series ‘La Nau de la Igualtat’ which is an space for debating on the key elements of the feminist thought with the purpose of progressing in order to achieve more agreed positions which benefit the fight and the social achievements on equality.

The debate, which takes part in the Aula Magna, will include the participation of Teresa Meana, member of Casa de la Dona, Reyes Beltrán, member of Comision de Cuidados 8M and Anahí Torralba, member of the feminist assembly of Benimaclet. The debate will be moderated by the journalist Remei Castelló.

The debate will answer some of the following questions: Have been a great success the Feminist Strike and Demonstration of the 8 March?

Can we talk about a before and an after of the Feminist Movement?

How has been the work of the commissions? What assessment is made?

Are there some collective of women that has been felt displaced? Have all feminist recognitions integrated?
