Diploma ceremony for the four Valencian companies that have been rewarded for the programme VLC / STARTUP 2016

The Vice-Principal of the International Relations office at the University of Valencia, Guillermo Palao, has delivered the promotion aids for scientific and technological based companies “VLC / STARTUP 2016” to the four business that have been selected this year: Darwin Bioprospecting Excellence, Hydrocarbon Engineering, Posidonia Cosmetics and Europimpulse Training.
The programme was convened within the initiative framework of innovation ecosystems promotion of the University of Valencia in coordination with the University of Valencia Science Park Foundation (FPCUV) with the CSIC delegation in the Valencian Community. It is intended to make the enterprise development easier to partnerships that are innovative and/or are technological based in the VLC/CAMPUS environment. For this purpose, the selected participants will count with a space in the University of Valencia Science Park Foundation in addition to a training workshop cycle that is particularly aimed to entrepreneurs with scientific and technological based initiatives. The University of Valencia Science Park Foundation will also facilitate the access to financing programmes and will support entrepreneurs of different entities and organizations for the participants of the programme.
Darwin Bioprospecting Excellence, S.L. develops microbial bioprospecting activities as well as the isolation and characterisation of on-demand micro-organisms. This service is increasingly useful for any industry in need of highly specialised microbial strains.
Hydrocarbon Engineering, S.L. works on the development of a new hydrothermal process that is aimed to obtain biomass from different carbon sources.
Posidonia Cosmetics, S.L. works in cosmetics production using natural resources from flora and fauna of the Mediterranean Valencian ecosystem besides the research of new active antioxidant substances and preservatives of the Oceanic Posidonia.
Europimpulse Training, S.L. builds social, artistic, cultural and educative projects up.
This ceremony has received financing from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport through the strengthening subprogram of the Campus of International Excellence programme.
