The enrolment to get the official certificate of Chinese level finishes on Tuesday, 13th May

The Confucius Institute from the Universitat de València (ICUV) will maintain the enrolment open until 13th May, to get the official certificates of level in Chinese language internationally recognised, that will take place next 14th June in the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication of the Universitat de València. For this reason, and for those who want to get any of those official certifications, registration will be done exclusively on the Internet and the instructions can be consulted on their website, uv.es/confucio

An access into the 6 levels of the known as HSK exam (Chinese Proficiency Test), the 4 from YCT (Youth Chinese Test), and also 3 for the Oral Proficiency Exam for Chinese (HSKK), which values the capacity of speech of Chinese language. Levels HSK have their equitable correspondence with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (from A1 to C2). On this edition, and from level 3 of HSK, a oral test complementary to the written one is done.

The ICUV is the only official centre from the Valencian Community that offers this tests. The results are corrected in China and recognised by the Ministry of Education of that country. For the Supervisor of the ICUV, Vicente Andreu, “these tests are necessary for key aspects in order to get a grant of studies in China or participating in the Summer Camp of our Confucius Institute. Furthermore, they consolidate the learning that has been done of this language during their academic year”.

At the end of this year, the ICUV will celebrate their legal age, it was founded in 2007, and over 6.000 students have gone through its classes, from which 4.000 have done the exam in the annual call that is done in June. Last year, the tests reunited over two hundred students, from which more than half were from child and youth levels. The one from the Universitat de València, the second oldest from Spain, is considered from 2015 as ‘Instituto Confucio Modelo’ for the central headquarters. The CIUV has earned the consideration of ‘Exemplary Confucius Institute’ by the central headquarters, has earned a variety of awards and mentions, among which stand out the 9 d’Octubre Distinction to Cultural Merit of the Generalitat in 2017 and being one of the top 20 Confucius Institutes of that same year, among almost five hundred that there are all over the world.
