Environmental Sciences Degree leaders commemorate World Environment Day with two activities

The Environmental Science Degree leaders that the Universitat de València offers (Faculty of Biological Sciences) organized two activities to commemorate World Environment Day (which is celebrated on Sunday 5 of June). The first one, on 3 June, its a conference about the seabed. The other one, on 9 June, its a visit to the Devesa del Saler.

The Darwin Room (an interactive conference room of Pharmacy, Burjassot/Paterna Campus) will host this Friday (3 June) the conference Conservación integral de los fondos marinos costeros. Un hecho, una realidad (Integrated conservation of the coastal seabed. A fact, a reality). In collaboration with the Oceanogràfic Foundation. The activity will take place from 11:30 to 14 hours.

The session will start with the conference La educación ambiental como disciplina al servicio de la conservación y su implicación social. Proyecto Xàbia (Environmental education as a discipline at the service of conservation and its social implication. Xábia Project). This conference will offer information about this project to study and value the marine biodiversity (submerged natural heritage) of the municipality.

After this, members of the Oceanogràfic Foundation will explain the research areas and the option for the Environmental Sciences Degree students who are facing their final dissertation.

The professors od the degree Olga Mayoral García-Berlanga (Interpretation and Environmental Education - Department of Experimental and Social Sciences Didactics), and Arianna Renau Pruñonosa (Continental and Marine Hydrology - Department of Geology) will participate.
