This programme is the result of a collaboration between the Association of Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Television (ATEI), Channel 44 in Jalisco and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It will be hosted by Ana Cristina Olvera, science journalist and host of the news programme, who will present some of the nearly 400 questions received. To accommodate the limited time of this unpublished broadcast, the questions/comments have been grouped according to topic.
Guest astronaut, Frank Rubio, is a US Army helicopter pilot, as well as a medical doctor and flight surgeon. He is originally from Los Angeles and was born into a Salvadorian family. He spent part of his life in Bogotá, Colombia.
He was selected to be an astronaut in 2017 and is currently collaborating on his first space mission as part of Expedition 68, in which he is expected to spend about a year in space. Five space agencies are working together on this expedition.
The signal has been made available to members of the Association of Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Television for live (and recorded) broadcasting on their channels throughout Ibero-America.
