The new Executive Council will take office on Tuesday 5th April in an institutional event to be held at the Paraninfo, located in the historic building of the Universitat, La Nau, and will be broadcast live by UVcommunication.

After the inauguration ceremony of the Principal of the Universitat de València, Mª Vicenta Mestre, held on 29th March, the Executive Council of the Universitat de València has been appointed with effect from 1st April.

This new Executive Council will be made up of 8 women and 7 men, including the General Secretary, the Manager and the Principal's Delegate for Students, who is a student member of the Governing Team.

The full university professor of State Canon Law, M. Elena Olmos, will be the General Secretary; the full university professor of the Department of Applied Economics, Ernest Cano, will be Vice-principal for Academic Organisation and Teaching Staff; the full university professor of Chemical Engineering, Isabel Vázquez, will be Vice-principal for Studies; the full university professor of Political Legal Philosophy, Ángeles Solanes, will be Vice-principal for Teaching Transformation and Lifelong Learning; the full university professor of Parasitology, Adela Valero, will be Vice-principal for Employment and Entrepreneurship; the full university professor of Physiology, Carlos Hermenegildo, will be Vice-principal for Research; the full university professor of Applied Mathematics, Rosa Donat, will be Vice-principal for Innovation and Transfer; the full university professor of Latin Philology, Carles Padilla, will be Vice-principal for Internationalisation and Multilingualism; the full university professor of Marketing and Market Research, Joaquín Aldás, will be Vice-principal for Planning, Quality and Research Technologies; Justo Herrera, tenured professor in the area of Business Organisation, will be Vice-principal for Economics and Infrastructures; Pilar Serra, tenured professor in the Faculty of Physiotherapy, will be Vice-principal for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Living; Helena Rausell, tenured professor in the Faculty of Teaching Training, will be Vice-principal for Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Policies; and Esther Alba, tenured professor in the Department of History of Art, will be Vice-principal for Culture and Society.

The Student Delegate, Manuel González Ferrandis, student of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, will also take office at this ceremony, having been renewed in his functions by the Principal.

The manager, Juan Vicente Climent, having been appointed by the Principal and the Board of Trustees, in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law on Universities and the regulations governing the Valencian Government and the Universitat, will not take office at this event, as he continues in his functions.
