Universitat de València invited as honorable guest to the International University Book Fair in 2026

Universitat de València Service of Publications participated on 31 August in the 7th edition of the International University Book Fair (FILUNI) 2025 in Mexico. UV Vice-Principal of Culture and Society Ester Alba and Head of Pubications Teresa Ferrer attended to the event. UV will be an honorable guest in 2026.
The fair takes place at Universitat Nacional Autònoma de Mèxic (UNAM). This year's slogan is 'El español, el idioma de la cultura y la ciencia' ('Spanish, the language of culture and science'). The main attraction of the fair is to analyse the university literature and scientific dissemination situation while building bridges between Latinamerican and Spanish universities. More that 350 editorials with over 25,000 works parttook in the event.
Universitat de València Service of Publications has provided 600 titles for the public and professionals. Universitat de València has been attending this event since its foundation via the Spanish University Editorial Union (UNE), and by itself for the last three years. The honorable guest of this year was University of Chile (UCHILE) and Universitat de València has been chosen as 2026 honorable guest.
FILUNI holds a large variety of renowned events in their programme with UNAM and guest proposals. Colloquiums, seminars, presentations, theatre plays, cinema cycles and workshops add up to over 350 activities made by both institutios alone.
Vice-Principal Ester Alba and Head Teresa Ferrer have been preparing for the 8th FILUNI Edition.
