Open call for entrepreneurship projects in the culture and social economy fields in Europe
- UV General Foundation
- February 26th, 2021
The General Foundation of the UV calls students of the University of Valencia to submit their entrepreneurship projects in culture and social economy, two of the fields hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. The deadline for submission has been extended until the 15th of March. This open call is part of the European project JUVEN-EYE, which promotes employment for young people.
JUVENEYE promotes the Erasmus Programme for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE), a transnational European exchange programme that offers new entrepreneurs and people who want to start a company the opportunity to learn from experienced businessmen and businesswomen in other participating countries.
Entrepreneurial project selection is divided into two stages:
- The first stage includes the preselection of a maximum of 30 proposals. The authors receive a career guidance itinerary and professional competence training, conducted by UVjob. Just by submitting a project, whether or not it is short-listed, students also receive an online counselling and training session to guide them on how to set up a worker cooperative.
- During the second stage, at least two “new entrepreneurs” from the University of Valencia are selected through INSOMNIA CONSULTING and are sent abroad to stay with two host “experienced entrepreneurs”. The stay could last between 1 and 6 months and the new entrepreneurs receive a monthly grant.
The deadline for submitting projects will stay open until the 15th of March.
The requirements are available at this link for more information.
Persons interested in participating have to fill out this form.
JUVEN-EYE, a collaborative project
Six social entities, members of the Red Española de la Fundación Anna Lindh (ReFal), participate in the collaborative project UVEN-EYE. The General Foundation of the University of Valencia joins the management and promotion of the JUVEN-EYE programme, along with the Mediterranean Citizen’s Assembly Foundation (MCAF), Iniciativas de Futuro para una Europa Social (IFESCOOP), Mostra Viva del Mediterrani, Euroimpulse Network and Jóvenes hacia la Solidaridad y el Desarrollo (JOVESÓLIDES).
Starting JUVEN-EYE has been possible due to the collaboration of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), which promotes different joint projects from members of the Red through the 2020 call for “Intercultural projects of the ReFAL”.
All the information and activities about the project is available through social media using the hashtag #JuvenEye
