Projection of the documentary ‘Ovidi, the making of the film which never was filmed’

Today, Tuesday, at 19:00, the Aula Magna of the Cultural Centre La Nau holds the projection of the documentary ‘Ovidi, the making of the film which never was filmed’ (‘L’Ovidi, el making of de la pel·lícula que mai es va fer’), in which the Universitat de València has participated. The act starts at 19:00 and later there will be a talk.
The sessions will be presented by Antonio Ariño. In the table will be Albert Sagalés (executive producer of the documentary), Carles Miralles (executive producer and original idea) and Núria Cadenas (journalist and author of the book ‘Ovidi’).
‘Ovidi, the making of of the films which never was filmed’ was written and directed by the Valencian Vicent Tamarit. The actor Eduard Fernández plays the roll of Ovidi, while Rosanna Pastor figures as the director of the inexistent film.
The documentary has the participation of friends and relatives of the artist. Declarations to camera are linked with talks along the running time (almost 90 minutes). As the documentary progress, the figure of Ovidi achieves more strength. There are images of Ovidi and remembers of his daughters, Helena and Jana, as well as friends: among others the painter Toni Miró, the guitarists Toti Soler and Toni Xuclà and the actress Marta Molins.
Ovidi Montllor i Mengual, known as Ovidi Montllor, (Alcoi, February 1942 - Barcelona, March 1995) was an actor, poet and singer-songwriter of the Nova Cançó (New Song), with a wide professional career, he had 12 edited albums and he participated in 50 films, 30 plays and several TV programmes.
