The great book festival of the city of Valencia returns to Jardins de Vivers from 27 April to 7 May, with themes such as feminism, dystopia, hardboiled fiction, afrofuturism or the graphic novel.

The 58th edition of the Fira del Llibre de València will be inaugurated on 27 April. The Llibreria of the Universitat de València (stalls 77-78) will participate, as it does every year, with the latest publications and the most outstanding collection of Publicacions de la Universitat de València (PUV) and other Spanish university publishers.

PUV will be present not only with the most relevant books and magazines from its collection, but also with various presentations.

Among these, we highlight the presentation of the book Els parlars valencians (4th updated edition) on Monday 1 May, at 6 p.m. in the Espai Caixa Popular, with the participation of the authors of the book, Vincent Beltran Calvo and Carles Segura-Llopes; the presentation of the new books of the PUV on Thursday 4 May, at 7:15 p.m. in the Sala Museu 2, with the intervention of Ester Alba -vice-rector of Culture and Society of the UV-, Ismael Saz -co-director of the Història i Memòria del Franquisme Collection-, Francisco Gimeno -co-director of the History Collection-, Carme Manuel -author of the Breviaris Collection- and Javier Marzal -member of the board of directors of the Aldea Global Collection-, and the presentation of the book El lugar de las mujeres en la historia: Desplazando los límites de la representación del mundo (The place of women in history: Shifting the boundaries of world representation) on Friday 5 May, at 7:15 p.m. in the Espai Autores i Autors, with the participation of Isabel Morant and Rosa Ríos, co-directors of the book, and the journalist of elDiario.es Laura Martínez.

The Fira del Llibre will be open to the public from 27 April to Sunday 7 May. This year, the guest of honour is the New York City International Book Fair and is expected to attract more people than in previous years to enjoy the biggest book event in the city of Valencia.
