The twelfth edition of the Passeig Saludable (Healthy Walk) will be held on Sunday 2nd October to commemorate the International Day of Older Persons. The sporting event, which is non-competitive, is part of the Universitat de València’s La Nau Gran programme for people over 55. However, it is open and intergenerational: anyone can participate and registration is now open.

The Passeig Saludable consists of a walk between two emblematic points of the Universitat de València: the Office of the Principal building and the Botanical Garden (3.5 kilometres). The route passes through the gardens of Viveros and the River Turia. This year it has the novelty of finishing at the Botanical Gardens, where participants can enjoy a pleasant stroll through the vegetation. The start will take place at 10 o'clock at the Principal Office's Darwin Square.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Alanna Association, which helps women and children at risk of social exclusion and, especially, victims of gender violence, with which the University has signed a collaboration agreement. Individual registration costs 5.62 euros, and family registration (three or more members) costs 3.51 euros.

All participants receive an identifying T-shirt, which will be distributed at La Nau Cultural Centre during the two weeks prior to the activity. Students on the La Nau Gran itineraries obtain two free-choice credits upon enrolment.

This activity is organised by the University Culture Service and the Sports Service, with the collaboration of the Botanical Garden and entities such as Oficina del Voluntariat Esportiu (Office of Sports Volunteers) of the city of Valencia.
