This road show, which shows the social, economic and cultural importance of running in the Valencian Community, was inaugurated on Friday 8th of February in the Sports Centre of Sogorb. The exhibition will be opened until the 24th of February. Almost 40 researchers of Universitat de València take part in this exhibition.

The opening ceremony was celebrated on Friday 8th of February and the vice-principal of society and nationwide extension, Jorge Hermosilla; the mayor of Sogorb, Rafael Magdalena; and the councillor of Sports and Culture of the city hall of Sogorb, Teresa Mateo were there.  The exhibition Valencian Territory, runner territory  has been exposed in Sogorb since the 3rd of February, when it took place the 21 edition of the Espadán Marathon of Sogorb, and it will remain open until the 24th of February in the Sports Centre of Sogorb.

The exhibition has 32 display panels. It is sponsored by an initiative of the office of the vice-principal for society and nationwide extension and supported by Caixa Popular and the Sports General Direction.  The curator is the lecturer of Universitat de València, Victor Agulló (Department of Sociology and social Anthropology). He coordinated the contributions of 48 authors, principally, lecturers and researchers of Universitat de València as well as athletes and sport historians, trainers and journalists. All of them were specialised in running. This great participation shows the multidisciplinarity, what allows to deal with running from different points of view, such as health, physiology, quality of life, nutrition, lesion prevention, psychology, etc.

As it occurs with the exhibitions organised by the office of the vice-principal for society and nationwide extension, this one Valencian territory, runner territory is characterised by being a road show. The different places that they have already visited are a sign of that:  València, Massamagrell, Chulilla, l'Eliana, Siete Aguas, Paterna, Alzira, Alcoi, Gandia and now Sogorb The route will continue through other Valencian cities and towns such as Riba-roja de Túria, Requena, Algemesí or La Pobla de Vallbona.
