“Making money by financing culture?” is the title of an event to be held next Tuesday 24 at the Universitat de València which will analyse tax incentives for companies and freelancers investing in cultural initiatives. The sessions, organised by the Econcult research group, will begin at 10:00 in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Economics.
Since January 2021, the Corporate Tax Law allows, by means of a simple procedure, any company to obtain a tax benefit by supporting cultural projects. This scheme seeks to improve the financing of the cultural sector by encouraging the participation of the private sector.
Francisco Muñoz, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; Amadeo Fuenmayor, from the Chair for Regional Taxation; Marcia Jadue, from the Cultural Observatory; and Pau Rausell, from Econcult, will participate in the opening and presentation of the event.
