The sports course of the UV begins with the Sports European Week

As each year, UVsports begins the university sports course at the same time as the Sports European Week, celebrated from 23 to 30 September, as well as the University Sports International Day, promoted by the UNESCO and the FISU, on 20 September.

Sports programme in the campus

The Universitat de València has prepared a wide offer of open activities to all the university community during this dates:

  • Sports schools and trainings with university teams in basket, rugby, football, volleyball, handball, judo, kendo, among other disciplines.
  • Well-being classes and workshops: yoga, Pilates, tai chi, personal defence, fitness dance, aerogap, circuit training or functional training.
  • Inclusive and adapted activities, wheelchair tennis or inclusive dance.
  • The EMPODERA’T Project: Mou-te amb la Uni, forwarded to university women between 18 and 24 years, that combines HIIT routines, motivational techniques and on-site and streaming sessions.

Social media contest

From 20 to 30 September, students will be able to participate in the social media contest sharing pictures or videos practicing sport in installations from the UV, in trainings with university teams or in open activities. For that they will have:

  • Upload on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
  • Tag @uvesports_.
  • Include the hashtag #setmanaeuropeadelesportUV.

The awards are official equipment of the UV. The drawing will be celebrated on 6 October, and the winners will be announced on the website and social media Uvesports.

Workshop and performance of the Bucles Festival

This year, the programme is rich thanks to the collaboration of the Bucles Festival, that since 2013 brings dancing to accessible and non conventional spaces, transforming towns from Valencia and close populations in artistic sceneries. Their goal is to make dancing accessible to everyone promoting inclusion and sustainability.
On 30 September the Lleugers workshop will take place, it requires prior registration through the registration form. Furthermore, participants and the general public will be able to enjoy the performance Rodem, with a free entry until full capacity.
