Universitat de València arranges a 1 600 000 euros budget for financial aid for students affected by the DANA

Universitat de València has rearranged its budget to have a special financial aid of 1 600 000 euros in total for students affected by the DANA. The Principal has asked for permission from Generalitat Valenciana to call for applications specific to UV workers, since current regulations keep UV from developing specific social aid programs.
Principal informed the Governing Council the start of the application period for the extraordinary financial aid for Universitat de València degree, master's degree and doctoral programme students.
This aid is compatible with any other public financial aid and scholarship and it’s intended to cover extraordinary expenses due to the loss of familiar income, so it depends on this specific income.
The aid will cover special consequences of the DANA, such as damage on the family’s housing, job loss of a family member, disabilities or grave illnesses and death of a family member as long as they pose an income shortage to the family.
