The Universitat de València launches a new visual identity manual to celebrate its 525th anniversary

The Web and Marketing Unit of the UV has elaborated a document which includes the harmonisation of the brand with the commemorative logo and highlights the importance of visual identification in the definition of the institutional essence.
This manual regulates the use of the new logo created to celebrate the institution’s 525th anniversary. The logo symbolises the past, present and future of the UV. It merges the UV logo with a commemorative design that reflects the values of renewed tradition, academic excellence, diversity and inclusion, social impact, global connection, innovation and creativity.
The manual emphasises the need to maintain visual harmony and coherence in all communication media, adapting to technological advances and the diversity of the university's audience.
It also establishes clear guidelines for the application of the logo in different contexts, ensuring its legibility and visual coherence. From business cards to social media and merchandising, detailed guidelines are provided to ensure effective and consistent application of UV's visual identity.
Design adapted to umbrella brands
The identity manual also establish the appropriate way to apply the logo to the different visual construction of centres, umbrella brands and other institutional brands of the UV. This way, it follows the strategy that seeks to establish integrated communication channels, improve the perception of institutional policies, optimise coordination and promote unity within the university community.
Brand elements for celebrations
The manual includes an annex that highlights complementary brand elements, linked to the celebrations of significant anniversaries of various centres of the Universitat de València, within the framework of the 525th anniversary of the institution.
Commemorations that reflect the deep tradition that defines the UV are highlighted, such as the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy and the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences.
The aim of these special logos is to give visibility to the distinguished trajectories, thus strengthening the cohesion and shared identity of our university community and highlighting the essential role of each centre in the development and continuous progress of the Universitat de València.
